Bicolored Antbird juvenile

There were two of these at the army antswarm. Size and colouration made me think they were Bicolored, although they did not really associate with any of the other antbirds present.

It has scales on the back just like Scale-backed Antbird, but note the white spots down the center of the tail and the white throat and eyebrow.

Confiding at the army antswarm , hard to see elsewhere (we saw two pairs in 4 full days here). Not rare but localised.

White-plumed Antbird

Despite not being uncommon at this army antswarm, White-plumed proved hard to video, unlike others, e.g. Lunulated Antbird. Not rare but rarely encountered, and quite an odd antbird!

This is surely the most obliging trogon I've ever encountered - I thought it was ill or something!

This is why Angel Paz calls his Ochre-breasted Antpittas 'Shakira': because hips don't lie!

Golden-breasted Puffleg in flight

Recognisable by the lack of a bluish front and vent (that Sapphire-vented, the more common puffleg here, has). It does have a shiny-orange chest however, hence its name.
