"Last May, I was privileged to spend a week in North-western Greece, hoping to watch and study birds I`ve never seen in my life before. In my first visit to the saltmarshes of Korinos I was rewarded with great views of Collared Pratincoles, with many Calandra Larks as well Short-toed Larks. My next and last destination was the Mikri Prespa lake, a strong hold of Dalmatian Pelicans; a very beautifuly situated region, where beside the pelicans, Pygmy Cormorants, Bee-eaters, Golden Orioles and many migrating wagtails, the unexpected presence of a healthy Barred Warbler population attracted my attention in particular.

I have to note that all of the drawings have been done on location looking through a scope, and despite a range of difficulties (insects, heat, storm) I had to face during this time the pleasure to be there was overwhelming and I promised to my self to go back soon..."
