"Last May I had the fortune to visit the Kerkini wetland in Northern Greece, and stay there for five days. Originally a water reserve created to help the region's agriculture, the lake has been developed to become one of the best water-bird places in the country. Plenty of herons, pelicans, pygmy cormorants, ducks and storks were to be seen there. Red-footed Falcons, still on migration, and the first Rollers looking for breeding grounds completed the scene."
