Long-legged Buzzard , Malta, undisclosed for bird's safety, 18 April 2014

Birding in Malta
This is only the 2nd CONFIRMED record for this species to the Maltese Islands. There are many others stuffed birds in hunters collections all over the Islands which were shot illegally and brought to Malta by Maltese hunters from north African countries, and claimed to be taken in Malta! Today's bird was first seen on 16th April by a team of Birdlife Malta's Spring Watch participants.
