Hi Elias

How about a Shikra Accipiter badius?

I'm not an expert like Brian but my thought process went as follows. Basically you have something that looks like a small hawk Accipiter rather than a falcon Falco. There are too many bars on the undertail for Eurasian Sparrowhawk (and anyway you wouldn't have those in your part of the world at this time of the year). That leaves Levant Sparrowhawk and Shikra. Levant Sparrowhawk in all plumages has a dark eye, and your bird doesn't - so it has to be a Shikra.

I'm not sure if that reasoning is foolproof, but it did at least get me to the right answer!

I'm sure that loads of other people will present you with rather better arguments...

Thank you very much for your helpfull repays and link to all of you.
Now i am very confident to say it is a Shikra.
