Getting warmer.

But a Mallard would dabble, not dive.....

Does that make it too easy?

Ducklings of dabbling ducks often do dive :ohdear:

Even adult Mallards dive fairly frequently when they're washing

Yep, Pochard it is. The only chick of the only female in the local park. The male left a long time ago.
