These binoculars were purchased in 2000 and I imagine were among the last made before this product was sadly discontinued. They have been lightly used since then. I am selling them because I also have a pair of Leica Ultravid 8x32BR. The reason I am retaining the Zeiss is mere sentimentality, which I think rather foolish. So I am offering them for sale as I could use the money for other purposes. Please PM me your very best offer for consideration. You need to offer me more than I want to keep them!

The binoculars include the following items:

Zeiss Dialyt Rainguard
Zeiss quality Neoprene strap
Leather pouch
Instruction and Warranty leaflets
Box

The binoculars are in excellent condition. There is some minor superficial surface damage in the form of one or two minor chips from the black laquered finish. There is also some glue deposited on the rubber armour surface, left by Zeiss during a servicing! It's not a big deal though, in fact I think these are very fine and ideal for collectors or if you want a good bin for birding especially in the woods. The objective lenses are in very fine condition. There are some minor cleaning scrapes on the eyepiece lenses. A full suite of digital photographs showing product condition can be supplied via email on request.

This is a UK and Ireland sale only. Complimentary Royal Mail Special Delivery will be provided for the UK; I'll look into Ireland delivery arrangements if it becomes necessary.

I don't want to get into a bidding war (I would use e-bay) What do you want for them?

Purely out of curiosity I did a "Google" and found that these bins in good to excellent condition (chances of "mint" are now very slim) are going for €600-700 (£500-600), so you might have to lower your sights a bit if you really want to shift them.

These were my first A-Class bins (after several Zeiss-Jena and Optolyth models) and I loved them. But, I was in the U.K. at the time and found that they were not waterproof ("water resistant" means bugger-all in my view) so traded them for Leica Trinovid 10x50BAs which I still have. I also have Swarovski 10x42ELs (my wife's) and Leica Ultravid 10x42s (which I use daily). There is no doubt that these modern bins have better lenses and coatings but what they put them in is rubbish - all three of these bins have been back to the manufacturer for mechanical repairs on several occasions.

If you are not desperate for the cash I would hang onto them. Despite not being waterproof and nitrogen-filled they are, in my opinion, ergonomically the best bins ever made.

Edit: Meant to say, your thread has had 542 views to date and no takers - that should tell you that you are asking a bit too much.
