View Full Version : This should be easy???

Can anyone help identify this bird. I´ve seen and photographed many of these at a lake in Valencia, Spain, but have just hit a problem when I tried to give it a name. Any ideas.

This is a Muscovy Duck. Very common domestic (farmyard) species which will hybridize with anything of suitable size; even the pure strain is vary variable in plumage.

No need to feel stupid Pete, these bloody things fool a lot of people. Their eggs taste good, but the ducks themselves are like eating boiled shoes!!
