I am thinking about a pair of these as they seem to be at the cheaper end of the Leica 10x42 range but cannot find any reviews online. Anyone with any experience?

Can't say about the 10's. I have a pair of 8x42's. Overall pretty happy. The one big gripe that I and many others have is the focusing mechanism. The wheel does not turn smoothly like you would expect. This is because they use a non-lubricated system to avoid the wheel freezing up in Arctic winter conditions. You get used to it after a while.
