At the risk of making myself look daft, my first reaction was Clamorous Reed Warbler.

Well done Brian - A CRW it is. They are currently setting up territories ready for breeding and this one was calling from the edge of a stand of reeds but as I am prone to do I only managed to get partially obscured photos.

Never would of got it! Looked it up in my collins. I guess the bill does look stronger than RW. Is the leg colour darker too?
