Given what's been excluded, that leaves us with a choice of Sanderling, Broad-billed Sandpiper, or Curlew Sandpiper. Doesn't look like any of them!

Long-toed Stint has ochreous legs, but is not common, and like Michael can't think of another 'common' small wader...
