||August 2011, trip across the border to Kenya, Sokoke specials, Crab Plover and a day trip in Nairobi NP with over 190 species, great country! Spent four months in Ghana and saw a few goodies inc White-necked Picathartes, Langdans Bush-Shrike and Sharpes Apalis .Just returned (Feb2011) from very successful trip to Ethiopia, all available endems fell, thanks to our good guide Abiy from Ethiopian Quadrants! Even had two Pec Sands in a day, trip list over 550! Been living in Uganda for nearly 2 years and have so far seen 836 there including: Great Knot (new for country), Broad-Billed Sand, G Sandplover, Af Green Broadbill,Rwenzori Turaco,Kivu Ground Thrush,Crested Barbet,Black-throated Barbet etc. Have also visited on holiday Egypt, Morroco (Slender-billed Curlew just a distant memory!) South Africa (both east and west) Namibia and previous to Uganda lived in Cameroon for over two years seeing all the endems inc Mt Kupe Bush-Shrike.
