Cracking views of the immature night heron were afforded to us at Weir Woods on the way back. Spent Sunday outnumbered by dog walkers, cyclists, joggers et al at Hengistbury Head, where the sun shone strongly and the birds remained hidden. As the sun lost its strength in the late afternoon, an osprey took a fish from the harbour. Fantastic!
