Had a late afternoon/early evening walk around Hook with Warsash and Chilling today. The first bird of note was the Kestrel near the harbour wall. I am thinking that this will probably be the same female I photographed on the 21 August in the same location. A very approachable bird.

Further round I had a quick look over the scrape but there was not a great deal to be seen. I did come across the new bench though. I had heard on the grapevine that Richard Levitt and the Haven crew were going to sort out the problem but can’t say I’m too sure of the outcome!!

I can see rabbits from up here.
Came across several Wheatears on the links and also a couple of Whinchat in the field behind Beam Cottage. It always amazes me that this field always turns up this species in autumn. The last bird of interest was a Sparrowhawk, sat in a Gorse bush on the links.
