An extremely early start saw me at the Haven assisting with the ringing. This proved to be extremely enjoyable and something I intend to carry on, all being well. Afterwards I stopped on the front and enjoyed great views of the Roseate Tern whilst talking to two Berks birders. After a while we heard a shout of "Arctic Skua" behind us and we all managed to get on a bird that moved up and down the Solent for 20 minutes every now then harrassing one of the Gulls or Terns. Tony T turned up as I headed over to the visitor centre to report the Skua. On the way I noticed the Fulvous Whistling Duck that has been present for a while (one of two I believe) sitting on the mud in the harbour.

When I got home it was time to sort out the Moth trap and amongst a few NFG (New for Garden) moths was a smart Burnished Brass.
