As usual I passed by the new pond yesterday on one of my normal wood loops. Just over the last few weeks the new pond has come on quite a bit. The edges are starting to green up in places and there are plenty of perches for dragonflies in the near vicinity.
Broad Bodied Chasers are still the most numerous species around the margins. They will soon be joined by many more.

The ride adjacent to the pond is also good for both Silver Washed Fritillary and White Admiral.

It also looks like some of the Whitely locals have found the pond. No problem with that but I do wish they could take away the empties, on completion. They must be much lighter after the event!!
