I have really gotten burned by the heat wave that we have been going through lately. We have had temperatures averaging 100 degrees fahrenheit ( 37 Celcius) and the air conditioner has been running nonstop. Of course that means high electric bills and a side effect also is having problems seeing the birds that I hear as I am walking out the door for one reason or another ( did you notice that I said hear?). The problem is that my lenses from my binoculars and camera fog up. It takes ten minutes of heat to get the class to be warm enough to see through! I have missed so many birds in the past month and a half that it is frustrating.
Just wanted to get that out of my system...

AC
Hi, Dave.
We've adapted well enough to Texas now that we keep our thermostat to 80 degrees. Apart from keeping down bills and not overstraining our AC unit, this means my binoculars don't steam up when I go outside.
