BELVIDE BIRDING

5 Crossbill flew over to the south west at 11.15am. Also a female Crossbill was reported in the car park this afternoon. A good ringing session this morning with the highlight being 2 juvenile Redstart (photo) 84 new birds were caught this morning with 6 Willow Warbler, 28 Chiffchaff, 5 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, and 1 Reed Warbler. The session can be viewed in more detail on the Brewood ringers website.

Another juvenile Redstart was below the dam. 3 Black-tailed Godwit flew thru at 3.45pm, also 5 Common Sandpiper and 2 LRP were noted. 2 juvenile Yellow Wagtail were on the north shore. A Hobby flew thru also 2 Raven. The Greylag flock has increased to 80.
