      I have been making up a feed for the birds through the cold weather and have continued because there have been so many takers. This pigeon has taken possession of the feeding bowl driving off most. I have even seen him chase off a Magpie!
      He arrives at sun-up and waits for the bowl to be filled, flyng up to the railings surrounding the terrace and cooing for attention.

      Peter,

      That is a very nice image (pity about the hardware on the right-hand side).

      I think that using "shadows & highlights" you might "lift" more detail from the front of the bird - but, "good as is".

      Thanks Colin. The feeder bowls are on top of a childrens climbing frame to keep the dog away. The metal work you see is part of the frame.
