Langstone Harbour, Southmoor, Havant
Dull day with the tide receding. Some of these birds collect at high tide in the vicinity of the old oyster beds between Havant and Hayling Island. As the tide recedes, these birds fly along the coastline and distribute themselves around the eastern side of the harbour. This bird was on its way to one of its favourite feeding grounds.
Camera information: Olympus E3 + Sigma 50-500. 1/2500 @ f7.1. ISO 800, fl 500mm. Aperature adjusted to give max light on this dull day with optimum dof.
