What a gorgeous bird and you have captured it with the kind of detail I am striving for.
Your comments about the noise I was producing in my recent images turned out to be a fault with my camera. It finally gave up and refused to keep my settings so it has been returned for repair. I expect it back in about 2-3 weeks. The repair facility is in Portugal!

Incidentally, I have just re-captioned this bird; on looking at some other shots of the same bird I realised it is a Thekla not a Crested Lark.
