Seems today was a great family out day. Two Black-backed Gulls with their 5 young were enjoying the shoreline at Langstone Harbour. The tide was in and shoals of fish were coming right up to the shallows. There is a lot of sea weed and this makes an ideal spot for the fish to feed. This of course also attracts the Cormorants, Tern, Great crested Grebe and other fish eating sea birds. Some have reported seeing Kingfisher here too! I have not been lucky enough to photograph one, let alone see one here.
