HICKLING - EAST NORFOLK - DAIRY BARNS - BED AND BREAKFAST
The Dairy Barns are part of Lound Farm, owned by the Deane family since 1947, and covering 360 acres of environmentally managed grazing marshes and arable land. Still a working family farm offering holiday accommodation, and finalist in the Norfolk Tourism Awards Best Bed & Breakfast 2006.
The Barn has six twin and double bedrooms. Each room offers excellent en-suite facilities, really comfortable beds and is very spacious with beautiful wooden ceilings. Most rooms can accommodate up to two children. There is wireless broadband access in the Barn.
The Barn is 5 minutes from sandy beaches and the beauty of Hickling Broad and nature reserve.
Much of the farm is accessible on foot or horse. There are tracks and depending on the time of the year many fields to walk across. The marshes are managed in a way that encourages wildlife. Throughout the year deer, hares, dragonflies, butterflies and a variety of different bird species can be seen including Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls and parties of as many as ten Cranes. Titchwell Manor is now one of North Norfolk's most popular hotels and restaurants.
