5. littoralis - adu breeding fresh - spring - again note moult contrast in coverts

6. littoralis - adult breeding worn - summer

7. littoralis/petrosus - adult fresh autumn - petrosus tends to lack the richer underparts of littoralis (like kleinschmidti), but there is overlap and many may not be differentiated (the colour of the outer tail feather may help).
